I'm Gemma Wright, a professional voice and accent and dialect coach with over ten years experience. Based in the South-West of the UK, I work with actors, aspiring actors, broadcasters, podcasters, voiceover artists, public speakers and members of the public on all things voice. Originally from Cheshire and now based in Cornwall, I work with people from all over the world via the magic of Zoom to improve voices or nail those accents. Since getting my Master's in Voice (Distinction) at drama school in 2014, I have taught voice and accents in many high-profile drama schools and universities across the UK including the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Mountview Theatre School, the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. I have coached actors for parts in Netflix, BBC and Amazon Prime programmes. I have coached voices for professional theatre companies including the Royal Shakespeare Company, Miracle Theatre, Marvellous Machine Theatre Company, The Wheel and Boom Theatre. Right now I am enjoying all that Cornwall has to offer and am teaching voice and accents at Falmouth University across their BA Acting, Musical Theatre and Theatre and Performance degrees.
